My pal Eryn of Sew Much Scrap came over yesterday to "play". Eryn's my Stampin Up demo, and she's hosting a card buffet here tomorrow. She spent the day prepping some awesome cards for some wonderful women to make, and I got my mojo back and made a pile of cards while we hung out. Apparently I use a bunch of SU products - cuz 90% of what I used is SU!!!
This set uses Stampin Up's "D is for Dog" stamp set and the materials are all random bits I've had forever! This is for someone who lost her grandfather and her dog within days, poor young woman.
This I love - a paper quilted card! The paper is SU's Domestic Goddess DSP on Basic Grey. I cut a dozen 1 1/4" squares, glued them to a backing sheet, then cut with SU's Top Note die.
Happy Birthday card on crumb cake cs. Pennants are cut from SU's DSP Patterns stack with the Petite Pennants punch.

Revamp of Creative Zone - Part I
It's been a loooong time coming, but finally I'm making some changes to my little Creative Zone to make it an inviting place to play. I've done some rearranging of furniture and just finishing up organization. Here's what's been going on...
First you take a tiny room 7.5 x 10 feet that has lots of funky angles and has too much stuff everywhere:
Next you use a floor planner program to see if there is any way to make this room work better:
Next - you start moving said furniture around only to realize the accuracy on the floorplan is off. Not that I would have measured anything wrong. I blame it on the angles.
Now start dragging furniture around, then tell your daughter and friends this is what you're doing so they can all give you hell for moving stuff yourself (I emptied the shelves first, girls - here's proof).

Christmas cards
Since I went to the effort of making these cards, they really should get mailed, shouldn't they???
I must admit, I love living alone. Even though I have my own craft space upstairs, there's nobody to be annoyed when I do this with the living room....

Exploding Starbucks Box
Saw this box on Crafting With Class and knew I had to do it for a couple Starbucks lovers on my list. I love how it turned out.
I love the way an exploding box looks - just a cute little gift box til you pop the lid... then surprise! Starbucks card, mints, and a gift tag. The other one I made had cookies on the fourth flap, but I need a gluten-free option for the recipient of this one.
And now I would like to show off the most beautiful card I got last week - made my my sister-in-law Kim :)

stocking advent
My darling daughter wanted an advent made of paper stockings for her mantel. These stockings hold a family activity for each day (build a snowman, make cookies, etc.). I love her idea for the stuffers! Here are the stockings on her mantel - I think they're adorable!
The start - cut 24 stockings in various papers on my trusty Cricut. Cut 24 more in white, and 24 cuffs. Half the cuffs embossed with Swirls and the other half with Snowflakes.
I cut numbers 1-24, glued them on, then spruced them up with a bit of white gel-pen.
Strung them all on a piece of ribbon on the mantel front. Looks so stinkin' cute!

Tim Holtz inspiration
I am in a tag swap and wanted to to use a Tim Holtz Christmas stamp borrowed from my pal Eryn - Christmas Miracle ATC stamp. First I stamped and embossed with Versamark and black embossing powder, then used Faded Jeans distress ink to colour my tag. I used white gel ink to whiten Santa's beard and hair, a little red pencil to redden his nose and cheeks, and then some green Stickles to give the tree some shimmer.
Making these was a bunch of fun - I'll be doing more soon!

Simple Christmas Cards
I wanted to try my hand at the simplest of simple cards. I created these two using SU crumbcake CS. I scored the frame around the edges, then a stamp in the center coloured with my SU pens and a white gel pen. Love how they turned out, need to make a whole set!

Winter is around the corner
While I'm all about fall right now, still having my pumpkins decorating the house, I'm starting to think about winter. I've been playing with canvases, vinyl and Glimmer Mist. I created the Halloween canvas shown in an earlier post, and now I've done one for Winter and I'm loving it!

Give thanks...
I've wanted to make a Fall banner to go with my pumpkin collection for awhile. Last night I finally cut one out! My flags are 5.5" high - but I'd do them about 8" next time. Sorry for the lousy pics, but my camera battery is dead so it's from my cellphone which doesn't have a flash.
My friend Arlene showed me a link to these wonderful paper pumpkins, so I had to make a trio of them as well. Super-easy, super-fast. I just twisted paper and inked a bit for the stems, and curled the paper using the backside of a scissor blade. How cute are these?!

Vinyl vinyl vinyl
Here are some shots of my most recent vinyl applications. I thought I'd have fun with my Jimmy as you can see! My son wanted the grenade - and when a buddy saw it he said, "that's badass, where'd you get it?" "My mom." Buddy's response, "Not so badass now." LOL!
